Behind the Scenes: How Projects Flow Through the Timplates Team

We’re often asked how we manage such seamless delivery across multiple platforms, clients, and deadlines.

The answer?

Process, people—and one very organised woman named Stacey.

From the outside, Timplates projects might seem simple: a client sends a design, and we turn it into a beautiful, functional template. But there’s a lot that happens between that first file and the final handover.

Here’s how our projects actually run—behind the scenes.

Step 1: Design Review and Feasibility Check

Every project starts with a review of the designs.

This is where our templators flag anything that might not translate well into Word, PowerPoint, or Google Slides—from fonts that won’t embed to spacing that might collapse under editing pressure.

This is also where Stacey steps in to translate technical feedback into plain language for the client.

She helps:

  • Set expectations about what’s editable vs static
  • Recommend small tweaks to save time in the build
  • Keep the design’s intent intact while aligning it to template best practices

Step 2: Build Begins

Once the design is confirmed, the build kicks off.

This is where our developers and templators bring the layout to life—adding styles, setting up master slides, formatting tables, and ensuring accessibility is built in.

Throughout this stage, Stacey keeps everyone aligned.

She manages:

  • Client check-ins and milestone updates
  • Feedback loops across designers, comms teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Scope changes and build priorities

She makes sure nothing gets lost in translation—and that every decision is made with the end user in mind.

Step 3: Testing and Delivery

Before final delivery, templates go through internal testing. We check:

  • Does it work across platforms?
  • Are styles consistent and intuitive?
  • Can someone with zero template experience open it and use it confidently?

Once it passes our checks, we deliver the template along with helpful notes and guidance.

And yes—Stacey’s the one making sure the final files land in inboxes with everything the client needs to move forward.

Our process works because it’s built around real collaboration.

Designers get the support they need. Clients get clear communication.

And everyone gets a template that works—not just on paper, but in the hands of the people using it.

Whether we’re building one report template or an entire suite of branded documents, every project gets the same care, clarity, and quiet attention to detail.

And if you've worked with us before and thought, “That felt easy”... you now know why.
